Canabidiol (CBD): Does CBD have contraindications?

The medicinal use of CBD is new (despite having very ancient origins). Thus, there is still no medical consensus on the best method of administration. The most common forms are the use in oil, placed under the tongue, or tablet.

Cannabinoids balance the human organism

There is also research that points to the efficiency of using CBD while smoking, in a cigarette made with mixtures of cannabis components dosed in the laboratory, avoiding THC. This is the fastest-acting method, as the substance goes straight into the bloodstream through the lungs. The problem in this case is the impact of burning materials and inhaling smoke on lung health.

There are even studies that advocate the use of vaporizers, acting on CBD oil without burning it. In this case, the inhalation of steam would act quickly, without harming the lung.

As well as side effects, CBD contraindications are few:

  • Pregnancy (as there are no conclusive clinical studies, it is recommended that pregnant women do not use CBD);

  • CBD allergy;

  • People who use hepatic drugs (the interaction can cancel the effects of these drugs).
